NPCore is taking part in global start-up accelerating program by PTT in Thailand
그림1 APT double defense solution company, NPCore, is participating in the Thailand start-up accelerating program D-NEXT to enter the Thai market. D-NEXT is a start-up accelerating program jointly organized by RISE, startup accelerator, and PTT group which is the only company from Thailand listed in Fortune Global 500 companies. It provides comprehensive support for global start-ups such as partner matching, local marketing, and holding a demo-day, intensively training them during the three-month boot camp period. The goal is to help global start-ups successfully enter the Thai market and to stimulate Thailand's start-up ecosystem and economy. More than 300 start-ups from around the world had applied for a boot camp but only 15 start-ups were selected. NPCore is the only Korean company among the finalists. NPCore has been accepted as a leader in the field of cyber security by recognizing its excellence in APT attack defense technology and is opening up new markets in Thailand with innovative start-ups from the US, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia and other countries. KakaoTalk_Moim_4HzHEu5IAW4TRcuCgXHNIUqLcTqspP The kick-off meeting was held on May 2, at Amarin Tower in Bangkok. The event featured lectures from PTT and RISE representatives and the elevator pitch of each start-up (appealing for products or services to be sold within a short time within 3 minutes). On this day, NPCore’s CEO Seung-Chul Han presented ZombieZERO Series, which can cope effectively with APT security threats which are increasing worldwide. While signature-based legacy security solutions are vulnerable to zero-day (unprotected sections before the development of vaccines after an attack), NPCore's ZombieZero Series provide behavior-based analysis so that they can detect and block new and variant malicious code in advance. In particular, NPCore has proposed a sophisticated security system that not only protects the network, but also attacks through the encryption section and bypassing virtual machines through applying EDR (End Point Detection & Response) technology. As information security has become a hot topic in Southeast Asia, the pitch has received great attention from Thai business and global start-up officials. In addition to participating in the D-NEXT program, NPCore is continuing to meet with local partners and demonstrate its products, and plans to actively exploit business opportunities in the Thailand and Southeast Asian markets.

In the middle of this year, the security threats of Ransomware have increased due to the surge of cyber security accidents caused by worldwide variant Ransomware’s attack. So security measures and consciousness of foreign organizations have been strengthened. As a result, NPCore (CEO Seung-chul Han) introduced its new endpoint security product, 'ZombieZERO EDR for APT' at the ‘Global Mobile Vision (GMV 2017)' hosted by KOTRA and held in KINTEX on Sep. 13~15.

GMV is the leading ICT industry exhibition & business meeting event in South Korea. GMV introduces cutting-edge technology and business in ICT industry. It has been expanding its scale since its first show in 2008 and has played a vital role in global ICT industry as an international marketplace.

NPCore is specialized in defense solution against unknown APT and Ransomware and provides two-level defense on network and endpoint based on behavior.

Existing security solutions (signature-based Anti-virus) cannot respond against APT (targeting malware) and new / variant Ransomware such as WannaCry and Petya, and traditional Sandbox technology is vulnerable to malware bypassing virtual machine, new and variant Ransomware and attack through encryption section (SSL communication). To overcome these limitations, the importance of EDR (End Point Detection & Response) technology has been highlighted.

In line with this, NPCore released endpoint security product against APT (ZombieZERO EDR for APT) and recently released 'ZombieZERO EDR for Server' also due to the recent biggest hosting server's security incident and supplied it to the Korean broadcasting station.

At this exhibition, NPCore held matched business meetings with about 10 companies from overseas.

NPCore’s CEO, Han, S.C. said, "Representatives of Japan IT vendor, Sudan telecom company, Jordan IT security company, Slovakia SI company, China IT company, Vietnam telecom company heard explanation, and asked questions about product, partnership and demo possibility. They showed positive response. We are the third participant this year and have achieved better business results than last year."
