won a prize from the minister of Science, ICT and Future Planning as the contributing company
to the information security industry's development. This prize is awarded to companies that
contributed to the information security industry's development by the Ministry of Science,ICT and
Future Planning and Korea Communications Commission. The award ceremony was held at the
COEX InterContinental Hotel on 14th on the theme of 'Privacy & K-ICT Security Festival'.The information security company, NPCore won a prize from the minister of Science, ICT and Future Planning as the contributing company to the information security industry's development. This prize is awarded to companies that contributed to the information security industry's development by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning and Korea Communications Commission. The award ceremony was held at the COEX InterContinental Hotel on 14th on the theme of 'Privacy & K-ICT Security Festival'. It was highly evaluated that NPCore developed new APT and malware detection & defense solution using behavior-based detection and block method and contributed to a safe internet environment and increased exports in response to government's export promotion policies. The event was held on five major themes: awareness of information security, strengthening invasion response, business start-up, job creation, and industrial promotion. In addition to the award ceremony for the competition in the field of privacy and information security, awards were given for information security's grand prize and information security hackathon. Integrated technology transfer presentation hosted by information security research institutes such as KISA, ETRI, National Security Research Institute and the seminar on information security industry prospect in intelligence information society, the seminar on the 4th industrial revolution and privacy were held together. NPCore was awarded for excellent R&D company by Seoul mayor in '2016 Seoul Knowledge Fair' held at Nuridream Square on 11th and organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the SBA. The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the SBA held '2016 Seoul Knowledge Fair' at Nuridream Square on 11th and awarded some excellent R&D companies and people. There was various events such as award ceremony, special lecture, forum and invention contest in this fair held by SBA 2 years after '2014 Seoul R&D Result Fair'. Fifty companies, two times more than at the last fair, participated. The number of visitors also increased to 3,000. On the first day of the fair, an award ceremony was held, followed by the opening ceremony at the Content Hall in SBA's HQ. 5 researchers and 5 companies including NPCore were awarded by Seoul mayor. NPCore was awarded for a security solution to prevent personal information exfiltration and security incidents. It was highly evaluated that NPCore's solution, 'Zombie ZERO' contributed to a safe internet environment as new APT and malware detection & defense solution using behavior-based detection and block method. Seungchul Han, CEO of NPCore won the prize of ‘Fourth Export First Step’ by KITA
Seungchul Han, CEO of NPCore won the prize of ‘Fourth Export First Step’ by KITA on October 26, and he have supplied cybersecurity solution to Japan.
Seungchul Han, CEO of NPCore entered Japanese cybersecurity solution market last year. The exported product is a systematic cybersecurity solution responding to cyber hacking attacks. He explained that the export volume was $ 130,000 until now and it will be over $ 2 million next year.
He said that they’re developing cybersecurity solution defending APT and ransomware attacks, and they will differentiate by cybersecurity defense system specialized in malware in the anti-virus centric security market.
APT, a kind of a new hacking techniques, is used as criminal means to steal personal information from online shopping mall, portal.
NPCore plans to accelerate the supply of APT defense solution to overseas such as Japan and the US, Vietnam, Indonesia, etc.
For the medium and long term they plans to export cybersecurity solution for not only PC but also smart device.
Last year NPCore released cybersecurity App for mobile’s APT defense in Korean market.
He explained that they’re supplying cybersecurity solutions to local public agencies and financial firms.
KITA(Korea International Trade Association) and Korea Economic Daily selected Han, NPCore’s CEO as a ‘Fourth Export First Step’ Prize winner. ‘Export First Step’ Prize recognizes the SME succeeded in export over $ ten thousand since participating in ‘Export expedition all over the world’ of KITA.

On October 26, NPCore(CEO Seungchul Han) released ‘ZombieZERO Virtual Appliance’, behavior-based proactive response solution to network’s APT and ransomware attacks to let install and use in an existing server without purchasing extra hardware. NPCore had released behavior-based APT defense solution, ‘ZombieZERO Inspector’ which can solve new APT attacks via web, email, file by only one equipment. This product was the information security system detecting and defending network’s attacks of new APT and malware based on behavior, and blocking the illegal traffic generation and C&C server access behavior, and preventing security incidents occurrence such as ransomware, data exfiltration, network paralysis, etc. in advance through 3 steps malware analysis system. This time, released SW version product provides behavior-based network APT and ransomware attacks defense as before, but it does not have to purchase extra hardware, and uses an existing server, so the initial installation cost is saved and it’s more efficient. Han, NPCore’s CEP said “We developed and released this product because of many inquiries and requests for the solution such as ‘ZombieZERO Virtual Appliance’ from Japan after launching ‘ZombieZERO Inspector’. But in case of 'ZombieZERO Mobile' app, even it's attacked by unknown malware, the response is possible in real time through behavior-based detection/analysis/treatment in malicious behavior analysis center of NPCore's virtual platform.
Han, NPCore's CEO said that he concretely consulted about 20 companies containing SI companies and venture capital firms from Europe, Africa, Middle East, Southeast Asia.Now we're providing 'ZombieZERO Mobile' app product in B2C version for free via Google Play, but we're developing B2B version also aiming to launch in 2018 because we have got many requests and inquiries for that.
